Our school community is centred on the friendship of Christ, rooted in love and respect, enabling all to flourish. Through the courage given to us by the Holy Spirit we will be visible children of God.
Guilden Morden Church of England Primary Academy is a small Church School which is very much at the heart of the local community.
I am proud to have been the Head of this fantastic school for over a year and am delighted with our progress as the school continues to grow from strength to strength.
We provide all the children with an education that will fully prepare them for their next stage in life. We enable them to grow as thinking, confident, responsible and caring individuals. When they leave us for their next stage of education, we know they will have many fond memories of their time here at Guilden Morden Primary.
We have small, mixed-age classes and because of the small class sizes all the children benefit from a great deal of adult support and encouragement. Our older children are extremely good at supporting the younger ones and being role models of our values.
We welcome any parent or guardian, who is looking for a place for their child, to come and visit and see and experience what a lovely learning environment our school provides. We will do our best to accommodate a space for your child.
We also have a fantastic on-site Pre-school which has been named by the children, ‘The Ark’. This facility was officially opened by Heidi Allen and offers childcare for children aged 2 and above.
The school is now part of DEMAT (Diocese of Ely Multi Academy Trust) and has a committed and experienced staff and Governing Body. This enables us to make continuous and sustainable improvements for all of the children who attend here.
If you wish to visit the School or Pre-school, please contact Fran at the office and she will help you arrange a suitable date and time. office@guildenmorden.cambs.sch.uk

"Together we work to succeed and flourish" is our school motto and the foundation upon which we develop our aims and ethos.
This is in accordance with many of Christ’s teachings and illustrated by the New Testament story in Luke 5:17-26, where a group of friends worked together, going to extreme lengths to have their paralyzed friend healed by Jesus.
Guilden Morden Church of England Primary Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

At Guilden Morden we seek to promote the health and wellbeing of everyone. We recognise that food and nutrition form an important aspect of our health and wellbeing. It also contributes to our pupils being able to learn effectively and therefore recognise the need to eat a balanced, healthy diet to keep us fuelled up with the energy we need for daily life.
Our school meals are clearly planned by our caterers, Aspens, but if you chose to provide a packed lunch for your child, then we encourage parents to ensure that the packed lunch is healthy and well balanced.
Please have a look at the following websites for some great ideas for healthy packed lunches: https://www.nhs.uk/healthier-families/recipes/healthier-lunchboxes/ https://www.phunkyfoods.co.uk/recipes/?fwp_courses=packed-lunches https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/howto/guide/school-packed-lunch-inspiration
Currently, we do not have any children with a nut allergies, but as a school we would request that we remain a nut free school. Please can you ensure that no nut products are included in your child’s packed lunch.
Lunch boxes should be clearly labelled with the child’s name and class.
We encourage our children to have a mid-morning snack. Reception and Key Stage 1 pupils are provided with a portion of fruit or vegetable each day as part of the School Fruit and Vegetable Scheme. Children in Key Stage 2 can bring in their own fruit or vegetables as a snack. Any other snacks will not be permitted.
We encourage all children to bring in a water bottle to school, that is clearly labelled with their name and class. Only water will be permitted and there is a water dispenser for the children to top up their water bottles throughout the day.
