Father Samuel Perez

Community Governor

I was born and raised in southern Spain. I have been living in England consecutively for seven years. My family and I moved to Guilden Morden to fulfil a post as a vicar and I have been the vicar here ever since. Part of my pastoral duties is to be a governor at Guilden Morden C of E Primary Academy where I offer pastoral care, when required, and I contribute in the efforts of the governing body of the school to make our children to flourish in an integral way: intellectually, emotionally and spiritually. Along another colleague, I am the visual connection between our school and our faith community (the Shingay Churches), a community who loves the students and prays for them weekly. I read a first degree in English Philology with a focus on English Literature and English acquisition (concretely ESOL), and another degree on Theology. I have studied seven languages in my life of which I can only speak three fluently. I love being able to offer a Christian distinctive in the school and particularly to explain the rich Anglican tradition of the Church of England present here and worldwide.
